The 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics are finally here! From archery to wrestling, and everything in between, ImOn is here to make sure you stay connected to all the competition. Japan is 14 hours ahead of U.S. Central Time, so most of the evening events will be live in the early morning hours throughout our communities. The Olympics kick off with the opening ceremony on July 23, at 6am CT, and conclude with the closing ceremony on August 8, at 6am CT.

Yes! There are 6 new sports being added to the Summer Olympics this year – Sport Climbing, Karate, Skateboarding, Surfing, Baseball, and Softball. Get some insight on the rules, history, and other information for these newly added sports. Make sure to show off your knowledge to friends and family while watching the Games.
Baseball
For the first time since 2008, baseball is back in the Olympics and six nations are bringing their top talent to Tokyo to compete for gold.
Softball
Softball will also be back on the Olympic stage for the first time since 2008. Cheer on the United States as they compete for the gold medal that was lost to Japan 12 years ago in Beijing.
Surfing
The world’s most talented surfers will be riding the waves on the Japanese shores for their annual Olympic competition.
Karate
Karate’s first appearance at the Olympics will feature men and women competing in both kata and kumite events.
Skateboarding
Top men and women’s skateboarders will be bringing their boards, and the skateboard culture, to Tokyo for their inaugural Olympics appearance. Events will feature both Park and Street courses.
Sport Climbing
Sport climbing is set to make its Olympic debut and will feature three competition styles – speed, bouldering, and lead.
